How to Install and run CoD Mobile game on any Android phone:

  • First uninstall any previously installed version.
  • Download the (CoD) Call of Duty Mobile APK file along with the obb file and copy it to your phone.

    The older versions of Call of Duty Mobile APK does not seem to work anymore after the 1.0.8 update. You must download and install the latest version to be able to play the game successfully.
  • To install (CoD) Call of Duty Mobile APK on Android, enable app install from Unknown Sources in your Android device.
    For Android Nougat or less: you can enable it by going to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources

     
    For Android Oreo or Pie version, enable Install Unknown Apps from the app from which you are going to install the Call of Duty (CoD) APK.
    For example: if you have downloaded the Call of Duty Mobile (CoD) apk file on Google chrome or firefox browser on your phone.
    Or you have downloaded and copied the apk file to the file browser and you want to install it from there.
    Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Open the app (Chrome, Firefox or file manager app etc) > Install unknown apps and enable Allow from this source

  • Then install from the APK provided; when done installation, don't run the Call of Duty (CoD) Mobile game immediately rather do the following.

    The display will stay frozen on a black screen if you start the game at this point. Don’t worry, just follow the below instructions to get the game running.
  • Extract the OBB file from the zip file content (main.379.com.activision.callofduty.shooter.obb) to the Phone's Internal Storage/Android/obb/com.activision.callofduty.shooter folder.

    – When I installed Call of Duty Mobile APK on my Android phone, the above folder was not there by default. So, I had to create it by myself.
    – Otherwise, the obb zip file contains the com.activision.callofduty.shooter folder which you can directly copy into the Internal Storage/Android/obb/ folder.
